MONSIEUR X., close up from the start, wore the leaders down on the far turn and, squeezing through on lie inside on the stretch turn, outgamed the others in the final drive and won going away. ORPHANRY unseated his rider while on the way to the post .ami galloped around the course a , couple of times before being caught, then showed much speed and outgamed OVERMAN at the finish. The latter dashed into a long lead in the first furlong, but tired badly after going a fast quarter. COURT JESTER and INWOOD were outpaced, but ran fairly well. QpjQ7Q SECOND RACK 3-4 Mile. IAlFMAN outran the others to the first turn and set the pace under slight restraint to the streteli turn, then tired, lmt hung on gamely in the final drive. IDLEWEISS moved up rapidly while rounding the far turn, lmt made a wide turn when entering tho homestretch and tired at the end of a game effort. AGNAR came through ou the inside in the stretch and, in a fast finish, almost got up to win. PLANTER was cut off soon after the start, but ran a bad race that should be thrown out. The latter ran well, but tired in the homestretch after making- a resolute challenge at the furlong post. JUDGE MONCK began slowly, but steadily improved his iisition and finished fast. MAXKNT1US ran well and would probably have won but for interference, came again gamely at the cud and almost got up WALTER SCOTT was carried wide all the way and ran a good race.
