FORMER TRAINER DIES AT COVINGTON. Cincinnati, 0., May 11. Walter Wells, until about a year ago a trainer of race horses, died early yesterday morning at Ids home in South Covington, after a brief illness. His mind became unbalanced and he imagined that he wasra coal baron and in the last few days he became unconscious. Wells was a bosom friend of trainer John Hall, who died suddenly in Louisville a few weeks ago. and trained among others Kris Kringle, The Minks and Gold Finder. He had been of late employed by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad as a gatekeeper. He leaves a widow.
