FORMER TRAINER DIES AT COVINGTON. Cincinnati, 0., May 11. AValter AAells, until about a year ago a trainer of race horses, died early vesterday morning at bis home in South Covington, after a brief illness. His mind became unbalanced and he imagined that he wasra coal baron and in the last few days he became unconscious. AVells was a bosom friend of trainer John Hall, who died sutldenlv in Louisville a few weeks ago. and trained among others Kris Kringle, The Minks and Gold Finder. lie had been of late employed by the Louisville and Nashville Railroad as a gatekeeper. lie leaves a widow.
