MANY HORSES FOR LATONIA RESERVATIONS ALREADY ALLOTTED TO MORE THAN A THOUSAND RACERS. List of Owners Planning to Engage in the Sport Highly Representative — Plans for Social Phase of Meeting Progressing Satisfactorily. Cincinnati, 0.. June 1.— As the time for the opening of the Latonia meeting approaches it becoasea evident that local patrons of racing are in for the best brand of the sport seen here in a long while. Never before have there been as many applications for stall room and. furthermore, the applicants iu-clude the representative horsemen in this country. During the two days that Secretary Maginn sojourned at Cliu hill Downs he was besieged by owners desiring quarters at Latonia and it has become a matter of great concern for the secretary hew to properly accommodate all the horsi s intended for racing lure. It is not expected that a permanent organization can ho effected before the spring meeting begins. Invitations have been issued to those who are in sympathy with the project and to those whose names have been suggested as prospective members, thus completing the work of the band of missionaries who to,.k up that burden. Tt is expected that all members and invited guests will be on hand to see the Derby run one week from next Saturday. and that the pretty clubhouse will present a gay scene.
