C00D MATERIAL FOR BR00KLINE MEETING. Roston. Mass.. June 13. — Preparations that are going forward lor the three days of racing at Clyde Park under the auspices of the Country Club. Brook-line, suggest that it will be the most notable sport ever offered by the club. The meeting will begin on Saturday next and already there are numerous horses "u hand preparing for the races, while muuy others are doe from New York. The finishing touches have been put on both the steeplechase coarse and the main track. The Country Club steeplechase course is one of Hie best in the world and an exceedingly difficult one for the horses. In the thirty years of these meetings the clubs courses have altered and so have the animals that cross tin in. These race meetings have developed a new type of hunter and a superior horse to the old timer, which was only asked to gallop along stoutly and take his fences without accident. The program for the Country dub racing h*9 always attracted a wonderfully good lot of horses. but this season the nominations are better in quality than ever before. The sport will be varied with flat races and there will be army cups for horses in the service, as has been the rule at all recent hunt meet iugs. With the breaking down of Metaphor during the recent racing at the Belmont Park Terminal course of the Halted Hunts Racing Association, a new champion will have to be found, and new Interest attaches to these contests through the misfortune that has befallen the brother to Maskette. Jr.. and Henry Frothingbam. Adolph Wheeler will handle Nattie Butnpno, Strip 1 ii i _r and others for Harry W. Smith. The horses racing under the colors of Leonee Puller and Lalhrop Blown will l«o shipped from Pimlicc track to Brooklltte. Mr. Drown purchased Planter from William Walker a short time ago. Metaphor, which has the distinction of being tin crack racer in military cm nts, has been Skipped to the Beaming track at Washington. I.
