LAGOON TRACK A FAST COURSE. Salt like City. Utah, June 13. — The beginning of the third week of the Lagoon meeting was made notable by the lowering of two track records, which demonstrates that the track is rapidly getting into Bach condition that it will soon rank as one of the fastest In the west. An allowance race over the futurity toenail was the special attraction of the afternoon and witnessed the defeat of the Bedwell crack. M Tes OConnell. which was held at prohibi-tive odds. The winner turned up in Spohu. well ridden by Meiitry. which was always within striking distance, and when called u|h ii galloped past the leader to win in the fast time of Cos-, which low t red the track record three-fifths of a second. Ai u men, winner of the third race, also clipped two-fifths of a second from the mile record. Billy Myer. winner of the last race, was one of the most heavily backed winners of the meeting.
