GOSSIP FROM KENTUCKY SOURCES. Cincinnati. O.. June 27. — R. H. Anderson has half a dozen yearlings this season which he will shortly take up and begin breaking. Mr. Anderson, in addition to Joe Morris, the Latonia Derby winner of 1010. has bred such good horses as Dick Welles, Ort Wells. Dick Fennell and Security. Of his six yearlings one is by Orlando and the other five by Dick Finnell. a brother to Dick Welles and Ort Wells. The Orlando colt is out of Lampoon, and the five by Dick Finnell are: Black colt half-brother to Joe Morris, out of Hanoverine. by Hanover. Brown colt half-brother to Financier and Anderson, out of Paradise Won, by Prince of Monaco. Brown eoit. oat of Huxie. by Rrantome. Bay filly half-sister to Auditor, out of Alcestis, by Hindoo. Bay Ally, out of Margaret B.. by Griffon. Mr. Anderson has five sucklings, including three colts bv Stalwart, one filly by Dick Finnell and another by Transvaal. The Dick Finnell filly is out of Peace, dam of The Hague. Mr. Anderson now has a band of twelve broodmares. This season he has mated four of them with Dick Finnell. three to Peep oDay, three to The Scribe and one each to McGee and Planudes. One of the mates lie mated to Peep oDay was the noted Hanoverine. and this produce of 1012 will he .1 brother or sister to Joe Morris. Mr. Anderson will, as usual, have his yearlings broken at the Kentucky Ass- datJeu track this summer, and Jack Baker will train and race them for him as two-vear-olds in 1012. A. J. Corey has only one yearling this season, a bay colt by Orimar — Katherine Moore. He also has a suckling filly out of this mare by Transvaal, and mated her back to that son of Commaudo this season. G. W. J. Bissell of Pittsburg, whose string of horses is at Latonia in charge of trainer Wayne Lewis, has no yearlings this season. All the Stare* he had in Kentucky were barren last year. He Intends to buy a few youngsters the coming fall, if the New York legislature ads favorably on the pending racists; legislation. If things remain as they are he will only race his own produce, and he will wait to replenish his stable until his mares have some foals. .
