EXODUS ON FROM LATONIA HORSEMEN DEPARTING EROM KENTUCKY TRACK AS RAPIDLY AS POSSIBLE. Many Horses Go Into Temporary Retirement Pending Resumption of Kentucky Racing — Others Leave for Canadian Tracks. Cincinnati, O.. July 17.— Donau. Hanbridge and tbe Met of the William Gent and decree H. Hollo Poises will be shipped to Canada for summer racing b trainer George Ham. Tbe Kentucky Derby win-iii ■ of 1!U0 is better now than be has been since tarty in his throe year-old form. Hanbridge has not fun since be fell and hurt himself while being Ktwoled at the barrier at Louisville last spring, but he is working well again and will soon be ready to nee again. Among the two-year-olds trainer Ham will take to Canada are New Haven and Working Lai, both of which are in good condition. Trainer William Cahill has departed for Canada with the horses of Barney Schreiber that he has been racing here. He will race Sager for Mr. Schreiber at Fort Erie, when the second meeting begins there, r.nc the famous Jack Atkin will be shipped from Woodlands Farm to trainer Cahill in Canada to be prepared for another fall and winter campaign. Secretary Edward Magiun has gone to St. Louis to ri-main until his presence is needed at Fort Erie. whore racing will be resumed July 29 for seven days. Truiner James Lally has made up bis mind to remain at Latonia, where he will conduct a public stable In preparation for fall racing. James Griffin has sold for export to Mexico the three-year-old brown colt. Receiver, bv Disguise II. — Obscurity. The Mexicans have also bought of W. J. G. Bissell the three-year-old colt. Southern Light, by IV. -p oDay — Mettie 0. Ike horses of Pat Dunne and W. EL Laudemau have boon shipped to Churchill Downs from Latonia. With them wont a carload owned by J. I?. Respess. another car owned by Hendersou Ac Hogan and the stables of Lon Jones, Louis Taubor and Dan Lehan. The strings of E. It. Bradley and J. P. Ross were shipped to Lexington and F. J. Tons also sent a car-•ad •• tbe Keu ucky Association track. None of These horses will race again until fall. I The stables of F. K. Hitchcock and 11. K. Knapp .vi re shipped today to Saratoga. John W. Schorrs racers were shipped to Fort Erie yesterday to await tbe opening of that track. Jockeys T. Rico. Obert. McCahey. Goose. Ganz. J. Wilson and McTaggart left yesterday for Windsor. Hugh McCarren will remain at Latonia for some time and plans to race at some nearby fair meetings.
