The latter ran In close pursuit of the leader throughout and finished reso-utely under a hard drive. VESTIBULE ran disappointingly and was driving hard at the end to outstay MAD RIVER. The latter began slowly and was carried wide on the turns, but finished fast. WILDWFFD howed speed, but tired in the stretch. The latter was taken back in the early running and ta ed longer than usual in the stretch drive. DETROIT finished fast and close up.
