EQUINE STAR GOES TO BUENOS AYRES. Ernest Tanner lias, our Special Commissioner learns, purchased Your Majesty on behalf of Senor Luis Castells. of Buouos Ayrcs, from J. B. Joel, and the horse will shortly be sent to the Argentine. The price paid has not transpired. By Persimmon Yours, Your Majesty was bred in 1005 by J. B. Joel, and proved himself a race horse of the highest class. He made his first appearance in the Now Stakes at Ascot, but failed to get into the first three behind Sir Archibald. He was beaten in the Prince of Wales Stakes at Goodwood by Vamose, though behind hint on that occasion were Royal Realm, Santo Strato and others. His next appearance was a successful one, for lie won the Boscawen Stakes at the Newmarket First October meeting, but he failed to get placed in the Middle Park Plate to Lesbin, Morena and Araminta, while the same fate awaited him in the Dowhurst Plate. From two to three years of age lie improved Tap-idly, and was confidently expected to score in some of the "classics." Running far from fit in the Two Thousand Guineas, he was unplaced to Norman III., Sir Archibald and White Eagle, while it was found impossible to get him ready in time for the Derby, and he was not therefore sent to the post. Ho won the other four races for which he started that .year, carrying off the St. James Palace Slakes at Ascot from Perrier, Vamose. Ednam, Royal Realm and others, while ho scored an easy victory in the rich Eclipse Stakes at Sandown from a rare good field, including Santo Strato, Siberia, White Eagle, Vamose, Mountain Apple and Lcsbia. A few days later ho won the St. George Stakes at Liverpool, again beating White Eagle and Vamose. Starting a good favorite in the St. Leger, he won comfortably from White Eagle, Santo Strato, Ebor. the Guineas winner, Norman III., Royal Realm and the Derby winner, Signorinetta. As a four-year-old Your Majesty ran three times. He was third in the Princess of Wales Stakes at the Newmarket First July meeting to Dark Ronald and Primer, his old opponents, White Eagle and Royal Realm again finishing behind him. But in the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown he ran unaccountably badly, finishing last of four to Bayardo, Royal Realm and Santo Strato. In the Atlantic Stakes at Liverpool White Eagle beat lilm by a length, this being his last appearance on the turf. Argentine breeders have during the last few years shown an evident desire for nothing but the best blood, and their purchases in England have included some of our best animals, the most notable being Cyllene and Polar Star. In Your Majesty they have a horse which should make a name for himself at the stud, for lie has all the qualities which go to make for success. His foals are a very promising lot. It was through lhe agency of E. Tanner that Cyllene, Polar Star and Piotermarltzbnrg were bought for the Argentine, and last winter that gentleman sent out twenty mares, whicli, had realized over 1,000 guineas eagh, to form Luis Castells Punta-Lara Stud, at Buenos Ayres.
