OFFICIALS INSPECT NEW IDAHO TRACK. Spokane, Wash.. July ::i. Judge Frank St. D. Skinner, who will be the associate of Presiding Judge Robert S. Leighton at the new track of the Coeur dAfene Fair and Racing Association, came here yesterday with 1. L. Ilildenbrauilt and E. S. Shelton. local directors of the association, for an inspection of the new mile track, now nearly completed. Presiding Judge Leighton is expected here this week. Idaho people are taking a keen interest in tlie breeders races, which will he a weekly feature at the new track. The winning horse in each of these races is to lie presented to the association, to be in turn presented to some fanner in the various Idaho counties, largely for the puriose of improving the breed of thoroughbreds in north Idaho. Secretary Frank Smith says that he has hud numerous queries alwut this feature, and that many fanners have written asking that they be placed at the top of the list of those willing to receive such a gift. Several women have submitted color schemes and pennant designs for the official emblem of the association. Secretary Smith promises that the women suggesting tlie most appropriate color scheme and design for the official pennant will be presented with a season ticket. The contest will be open for several weeks yet.
