NOTES OF THE TURF. The fall meeting of the Maryland United Hunts will be held at 1imlico August 31, September 2 and September 4. J. L. Holland has departed "for a two-months trip In Europe, during which he will see some racing in England and on the continent. The majority of the horses that have been racing at the Montreal half-mile tracks have been shipped to Toronto for the DulTerin Park meeting, which opens tomorrow. Frank Jay Gould has bought from Coiutu de Nicolay Maurice de Clieest all the yearlings of the Mont fort Stables in France. These youngsters are mainly the product of the famous sire Rabelais. On July IS entries for the Epsom Derby of 1013 closed with 32S nominations. Of this number August Belmont has nominated six, Richard Croker two, both sired by Orby, and II. P. Whitney nineteen. W. K. Vandorbilts Messidor. with ONeill up, wim the Prix Fernandez of 4.000 francs at Tremblay in France Saturday. II. B. Duryea took third place in the Prix Isonouiy with Frishman. Jockey Turner had the mount. Two of W. K. Vnnderbilts horsos won stake events at the Maisons-Lnfiitto track in France Sunday. His chestnut colt Montrose II. won the Omnium de Ans, worth 5,000, distance, one mile, mid Glberhey took the Prix dlgny at Jive furlongs. Frank Goulds Conti La Bell finished second in the Prix Champagne, a handicap at one mile and four one-half furlongs.
