The latter was close up in the early running, but the fast pace told on him in the last furlong aud he tired. MISSION was in a jam at the start and was taken up. ANN AG II was on the inside all the way and drew away into a long lead on the stretch turn, but tired when it came to the final drive. CALIPH tried to bear out while rounding the far turn, hut closed up with a rush in the last sixteenth. LADY McGEE broke llatfooted and was never prominent, SEVEN STARS ran well to the stretch.
