DUFFERIN PARK MEETING ENDS. Toronto, Out., August 9. The lirst of the mil meetings of the Metropolitan Racing- Association came to a close today with the running of a card of ten races. The liest finish of the meeting marked the ninth race when the placed horses finished noses apart with Stick Pin, an outsider, leading the way. Horace E. was heavily backed to win the closing race, his odds being hammered down from 15 to 2. He finished a distant third. The sale of Frank Burrows horses did not take place, owing to customs difliciiltics, but they will be sold with some others on Tuesday. Many of the horsemen now here will ship to Hamilton in the course of the next two days. Jockey Bergen is reported to be improving rapidly.
