CAMPEON. lucky at the start, outbroke the others and showed the most speed nearly all the way, but swerved after entering the homestretch and went to the outside fence, then came fast again and got up to win in the final stride. RESTIGOUCHE ran in close iiursult of the pacemakers all the way and finished gamely, but tired in the final drive. STILLY NIGHT began slowly and was crowded out, then closed a big gap into a fast going and close up third. ROSE QUEEN tired after running in closest pursuit to the stretch. PUOG1NS, a good youngster, ran to the front at once and won all the way, but had to be hard ridden to retain his advantage in a game drive with SHERLOCK HOLMES. The latter dropped back after entering the homestretch, but came again in the last furlong and finished fast. TIPSAND colsed a big gap and out stayed CHERRY SEED for third place. JACK DENNERLEN ran out at tho fourteenth and fifteenth jumps, but finished tho course. THISTLEDALE fell at the eleventh. AYLMER ran fairly well and finished close up. but did not run to his best form. CONSOLE quit in tin last furlong after running well to the stretch. TABOO ran poorly and can do much better. LADY I KM A was in close quarters for the first furlong and sharply cut off while rounding the far turn and lost several lengths, then came on fast and finished with a rush.
