The list of entries to stakes to be run during the autumn meeting of the Ontario Jockey Club, Toronto, September 23 to 30, arc given below. The class of horses and the number engaged in all the events promise a week of splendid sport at Woodbine Park at the end of September. The Toronto Autumn Cup, at one mile and a quarter, with forty-three entries, and the Ontario Jockey Club Cup, at two miles and a quarter, with thirty-eight entries, to be run on the opening and closing days of the meeting, include every good horse on the North American continent. The Michaelmas Handicap and the Grey Stakes for two-year-olds have forty-four and forty-two entries, respectively, and contain the cream of the younger brigade. The Dominion Handicap, Seagram and Durham Cups, limited to Canadian-bred and owned horses, include the best of those owned in Canada and will furnish excellent contests. In the steeplechase features the Woodbine Autumn Steeplechase and Hendrie Steeplechase, at three miles, have the capital totals of thirty-five and thirty-four to draw from will bo found many horses which have not been seen under colors since the spring meeting, with much fresh material, so that a week of rattling cross-country races is in stqre.
