BEDWELL HAS LONG-PRICED WINNER. Anaconda, Mont.. September 4. Despite wintry wenther the holiday crowd attending the races hero today exceeded any previous attendance at the local course, fully 0.000 patrons of tho sport being on hand. In the feature race of the dav. a handicap at six furlongs, II. G. Bedwells Knight Deck was installed favorite, but, being hardly up to a gruelling race, was outpaced by Kid North, the eventual winner, from the start. W. B. Carson scored a doubla with Eastman and Delena. Jockey Hopkins carried off the riding honors of the afternoon by piloting three winners. Little Elva. running in the colors of II. G. Bed-well, showed improved form and won the second race with consummate ease at the remunerative odds of 20 to 1, much to her new owners surprise aud unbacked by the stable connections.
