SOME GOOD MOVES AT LEXINGTON. Lexington, Ky.. September 7. E. C. Cowdins Phoenix Hotel Fall Handicap candidate. Swannanoa. in the string that T. 0. McDowell is training, worked a mile in 1:445 at the Kentucky Association course this afternoon. It was accounted by a number oC work watchers as the best moro of the season thus far. Mr. McDowells Star Jasmine, a candidate for the Senorita Stakes, worked a half mile in 50 and his High Brow went five-eighths in 1:01. The best move at this distance, however, was 1:02J. by Alpine, in the string of T. P. Haves. Electioneer, the Futurity winner of 1900. worked five-eighths in 1:02$. James McCauley, his trainer, has recovered from the injuries received when Electioneer reared up, knocked him down and fell upou him last week. George Ham was thoroughly disgusted with Donau this morning. He sent the 1910 Kentucky Derby winner out with his stablemate, Ilanbridge. to work five-eighths, but after getting a half in 54 Don.ui sulked and quit cold. Ilanbridge worked on alone in 1:05. Luke Lo Blond arrived from Latonia this morning with Gold Mine and American Girl. Steve Judge is hero from Louisville with half a dozen horses belonging to James Me.Manus and O. A. Bianchi. Jockey George Archibald will be here to ride them. The strings of John S. Ward. Homer Selby and William Wallace arrived trem Canada tonight. J. W. May and William Karrlck arc on the way here from Saratoga with their strings. Racing Secretary Shelley said today that a majority of the horses that are coming from Louisville and Latonia will arrive hero Sunday and Monday.
