WHITE WOOL WINS A HANDICAP. Spokane, Wash, September 13. White Wool, a Lake City Derby candidate, won the mile and an eighth handicap" at Coeur dAIene today, defeating Dick Raker, another eligible for the same stake, in 9 bundv fashion. Reserved behind the early pace, ho picked np tin; leaders by degrees and, taking the lead a furlong from the finish, held Dick Baker pafe at the end. The latter came from many lengths "Form was exceedingly well observed, as practically live favorites won. .Tessup Burn was bid up from .V.OO to bv W. B. Carson and sold.
