I JOCKEY BARRED FOR ROUGH RIDING. F Toronto. Out., September 15. Racing at Duffcrin Park todav was marked by stirring contests and close finishes. Jockey G. W. Carroll was barred from the grounds for rough riding on Horace E. in the sixth race. He cut across in front and bumped Mapieton, forcing him to his knees. Cullcu was thrown, lmt rolled clear of the flying hoofs and escaped unhurt. A nieetiug of seven days, from October .! to 10, will bo held at Dufferin Park under the auspices of the Toronto Riding and Driving Club. Among tlie horsemen that will ship to Laurel are Ed Trotter, E. W. Foulkes. M. Nicoll and P. Riley. J. H. Moody bought Bill Lamb and Goldfern from V. Burrows today. C. Grand fainted after .the second race, owing to excessive reducing. He "rode his engagement in the next race, but was excused for the remainder of the afternoon.
