BWANA TUMBO, a big, sturdy, colt, plowed through the going with ease and is an extra good mud runner, had a decisive lead after they had gone a furlong and won pulled up. FROGLEGS wore OVERMAN down in the stretch, but was doing his best at the end to outstay GARTH. The latter closed a big gap and finished in resolute fashion. Won easily: second and third driving. THE WELKIN, under restraint, followed MERRY MAN until in the last turn of the Held, then went to the front with a rush and drew away to win cantering. VILIIALLA finished gamely and wore the tiring MERRY MAN down in the last half mile. The latter jumped well and showed the most parly speed, but tired in the going. KILO refused at the second jump. BOB R. began slowly, but closed a big gap and, finishing with a rush, barely failed to get up. LAWTON WIGGINS ran well, but was tiring through the stretch drive. CAPSIZE took the lead on the baekstretch, but was made too much use of and tired badly in tho stretch. HERBERT TURNER and RACQUET showed early speed, but both quit. Scratched 9S100 Ouager. 05. THE PROPHET fenced well and responded with a rush when called on, but his rider kept looking hack and would probably have won had he kept his mount going. THE GOLDEN BUTTERFLY ran on the outside of the leaders all the way and was wearing TROY WEIGHT down at the finish. SALIAN closed a gap and finished well. The others were bestcn off at the finish.
