ENFIELD TAKES COEUR DALENE STAKE. Spokane, Wash.. September Hi. Enfield, carry ing 109 pounds and well handled by jockey J. Callahan, won the Inland Enipire Handicap, which carried a valuation of 000, at Coeur dAlene today, by a length from Jack Paine in a driving finish. Fred Mulholland finished third. Enfleld was reserved to tho last turn, where he moved up quickly, took the lead from Lomond and hung on witli great gameness. Jack Paine was running strong at the finish, as was Fred Mulholland. The surprise of the meeting came in the fifth race, when Beda outlasted Useeit. Dr. Dougherty, Pawhuska and Pride of LIsmore, winning by a head in a hard drive. She was quoted at the long price of sixty to one. Jockeys A. Walsh and Kirschbaum were suspended for three days for rough riding. For an unsatisfactory ride on Manasseh in the first race, jockey Rooney was suspended indefinitely. The judges also suspended McDowell for incompetency and roujjh riding.
