VANIR ran a good race and will improve witli further racing. FREE closed a gap, but lost all chance through interference. FREEWILL made up ground and ran a good race. MANASSEII was very badly ridden. DON ENRIQUE closed gamely and. finishing fast, would have won in another stride. BILLY MYER set the pace, but tired and cut across in front of BLONDY near the three-furlongs post, forcing him against BISKRA and almost knocking her down. THE MONK had no mishaps except thathe was frying to run out toon after the start and ran a good race. JIM CAFFERATA set a fast pace to the stretch and tired iu the final drive. QUALITY STREET set the pace to midway of the stretch and tired, but finished gamely and almost got up again. NETTIE TRAVER closed a gap in the last quarter and finished fast. VIRGIE CASSE and MATADOR showed speed, but tired. ALTAMOR ran poorly. Overweights Zalira. 3 pounds.
