1 WILSON HORSES IN WINNING FORM. Naushon and Aldebaran Score for President -of Saratoga Association at Woodbine. Toronto, Ont., September 20. Splendid racing was witnessed at Woodbine this afternoon. With a rapidly drying out track and well balanced tields going to the post, keen sport was provided. The Wilson stable cut an important figure In the afternoons results, Naushon winning the Sandringhain Ilandl cap, while Aldebaran and Penobscot finished one. two in the Michaelmas Handicap, the feature race of the program. Aldebarans victory was on sufferance, however. The stable elected to save Penobscot and declared to win with Aldebaran. In the early running the latter was crowded out of it and at one period bis chances looked hopeless. Aldebaran steadily improved his position, however, and gaining fast- in the stretch overtook and passed his stable companion in the closing strides and wou going away by a scant length. Penobscot was only cantering during the last furlong, aud jockey Dig-gins was forced to take him under stout restraint in order to permit Aldebaran to pass him. Penob scot is still a maiden. He is a splendid looking individual, and doubtless is a high-class youngster. Presumption, which was sent from Kentucky to fill his engagement in the Michaelmas, finished a good third. He was a contender at the furlong post, but tired, and may have been a bit short. The tabled history of the Michaelmas Handicap Is as follows: Year. Winner. Wt. Jockey. Val.
