WINNING WIDOW went into the lead with a rush and, setting a very fast pace, won all the way as her rider pleased. JACK WALL closed a big gap resolutely and finished fast. UNION JACK, although going wide, ran well and held on gamely in the closing sprint. THISTLE BELLE quit in the last quarter after running in closest pursuit for a half. EMILY LEE was away fast and clear of interference, showed the most speed throughout and held her own easily at the end. DISCONTENT, from a slow beginning, closed a big gap and was going fastest of all at the finish. DONCASTER, showing suddenly improved form, was well up for the entire wav and finished g:imely.
