ETON BLUE came through fast on the inside and- finished resolutely, but could not get to the winner. WILDWEED ran in nearest pursuit, then tired and just lasted long enough to save third place. MAD RIVER fiuished with a good burst of speed after closing a big gap. CHRISTMAS DAISiT quit after running prominently to the stretch. SURFEIT squeezed through next to the inside rail in the homestretch and, in a fast finish, ran the best race of hfs career. MOISANT was much used In forcing the early pace and tired, but finished resolutely. FROG-LEGS ran well, but swerved In behind the leaders near the end, or he might have won. DUVAL finished fast. The latter moved up gamely when straightened out in the homestretch, but was slightly impeded by the winner nenr the end when the latter bored over to the outside and failed to get up. APACHE ran a good race and was a forward contender all the way. IDLEWEISS ran well and finished gamely. STAR CHARTER ran a bad race that should be thrown out.
