ONTARIO JOCKEY CLUB MEETING. Toronto, Ont.. November C. At the annual general meeting of shareholders of the Ontario Jockev Club, the chairman referred to the loss tho club hall sustained in the death of the late George W. Torrance, for so many years a director of the club. He felt sure that they would regret the departure of Lord and Lady Grey and the members of their family, from whom they had received so much kindness during their stay in Canada one of the last kindly acts of Lord Grey being evident in the presentation to the club of a handsome challenge cup from Mr. Leopold de Rothschild. The chairman also referred to the introduction of the parl-mutuel system at Woodbine Park the past season. This he maintained was for the good of racing from a sporting standpoint. The following is the list of officers of the club for 1912: Joseph E. Seagram, president; E. B. Osier, M. P.. first vice-president; Sir Lyman Melvln Jones, second vice-president. Executive Committee D. W. Alexander. R. J. Christie. Col. Hon. J. S. Hendrle, C. V. O.. M. P. P.; Lieut. -Col. William Hendrle; A. E. Dyment. Secretary-Treasurer, W. P. Fraser.
