NOTES OF THE TURF, Jockey Bntwell probably will go to England next year to ride. The annual sale of J. E. Seagrams yearlings, two, three and four-year-olds, and broodmares, will take place at Toronto tomorrow. August Belmonts Monotone finished third in the November Nursery Handicap of C50 sovereigns, at the Newbury meeting in England Friday. Jockey Frasch, who has been riding successfully in the far west, is visiting relatives in Chicago prior to entering upon a winter engagement at Juarez. Jockey Clarence Turner, who has been riding promisingly in Kentucky this fall. Is an eightce-year-old Indianapolis boy. He is under contract to Luke Le Blond of Cincinnati and Thomas Shannon of Lexington. William Lakeland has sold the three-year-old chestnut gelding Judge Semmes to C. R. Viucent, who will race the horse in the British West Indies. Judge Semmes is a son of the Bramble stallion, Prince of Melbourne, out of The Lady Rebecca. Frank ONeill. W. K. Vanderbllts stable jockey, expects to leave France for America in a few days. ONeill heads the list of riders on the flat in France this season, with 14G wins in 072 mounts. Johnny Reif comes next with 115 wins in 408 mounts. Four Castleton-bred yearlings are on the way to England with James It. Keenes Ballot. They include a bay colt by Peter Pan Mint Cake; a brown colt by Peter Pan Anomaly; a black filly by Disguise -Blturica, and, a chestnut filly by Delhi Nora Creina. J, E. Widcners Datura, ridden by Lassus, won the Prix de LAuxol3. of 4,000 francs, at Saint Onon in France Friday. Harry La Moutagnes Fred Koene, ridden by OLeary, finished third in the Prix du Mont Dore, of 0,000 francs. There were thirteen starters. Mockler, Milton B., Stone Street. Princess Callaway. CountleBs. Cherryola, Messenger Boy, John Furlong, Star Charter. Governor Gray, Azo, nigh Private and Any Port are looked upon as likely starters in the Latonia Endurance Stakes, two miles, to be run next Saturday. A field of this caliher will ensure a splendid contest and is worth going a long distance to witness.
