BRIG, running well in the stiff going, was well up from the start and, saving ground when turning into the stretch, drew out quickly in the last furlong. ROSE OF JEDDAH forced the early pace and took the lead after having disposed of SALESIA, but tired near the end. ACGUIN ran forwardly and held on gamely in Hi? final drive. SALESIA set the early pace and showed improvement. ISLAND QUEEN disliked the; stiff going. LUCKY WISH and BOUNCING LASS finished close up. FKOGLEGS was away slowly and was rushed into the lead on the stretch turn, but tired near the end of a game effort. KAISER began well and took the lead on the backstretch. but tired in the stretch.
