MARLBORO HAS ITS GREATEST CROWD. Waslungton, D. C, November 11. The largest crowd of the meeting visited the Marlboro track this afternoon. The track had dried out well and was in fairly good condition. The race for horses owned and ridden by officers of the army and navy was the main attraction and after a spirited contest Kyrat won in a canter, it leing his second win in si race of this kind at the Marlboro track. The sport during the day was exceptionally good, there being many close llnlslies. Kyrat and Muff were winning favorites. The first race was a thriller. Henock winning by a length In a hard drive, While the next three liorees were heads apart. W. B. Carson, for the third time this week, took two purses, winning with Smirk and Muff, and taking second money with Jessup Burn. Muffs victory was of the lluky kind, as Dolly Bultman was best, nnd should have won, but her rider, Robinson, did not sec Muff closing fast on the outside until It was too late. Hopkins piloted both of the Carson horses that won. There will be two ladies days next week, on Monday and Friday. Two tralnloads of horses will leave here after the meeting ends for : Columbia, S. C. Arrangements havo been made for special trains.
