ROMPIE ran close up behind the leaders until well straightened away in the homestretch and, when he was making his effort for the lead. FROG swerved over, but did not interfere with him and, drawing away, he won in a canter. FROG showed the most earlv speed and set a fast pace, but tired in the stretch and swerved badly. DOS ESTRELLAS was sharply shut off by ALLISON before the horses had gone an eighth, but quickly recovered and, running Into the lead under punishment, gamely held his advantage. WIGGINS jumiied up in the air when the harrier rose, losing considerable ground, but ran a good race and almost got up to win in a resolute finish. MADELON and ALLISON ran a good half, then began to tire. ALLISON quit badly after going well for a half. Amor Bros, entry not coupled in the betting.
