MUCH INTEREST IN COLUMBIA MEETING. Norfolk, Va., November 22. The forthcoming meeting at Columbia, S. C, beginning Thanksgiving Day, November 30, and continuing for thirty-throe days, gives promise of being successful, if the words of encouragement heard on all sides be taken as a criterion of the interest manifested in the project. Columbia boasts as good and safe a mile track as there is in the country, with all the necessary facilities for the proper care of the valuable thoroughbreds that will be housed on the grounds. There will be accommodations for GOO horses in first-class stalls. Another noteworthy essential is the excellent drinking water that will be available. Applications havo already been received for over 300 stalls from all parts of the country.
