HILDRETH S RETURN PUZZLING HIS FRIENDS. New York, November 22. Confirmation of the report that Samuel C. Hildreth is returning from England came by cable to Charles Kohler yesterday. Whether or not Mr. Hildreth has changed his plans for racing in England is a puzzle to his frieuds. The cablegram received by Charles Kohler, owner of Fitz Herbert, Zeus, Novelty and other horses of distinction, was brief, and the return of the famous trainer is eagerly awaited. Mrs. Hildreth and jockey Carroll Shilling are also on their way back to this country. On the same steamer -is Prince Poniatowski of Paris, a close friend of Mr. Hildreth, who formerly took an active part in California racing, as president of the San Francisco Jockey Club.
