JURY TRIAL IN JAMESTOWN CASE, Norfolk, Va., November 25. In the trial of the quo-warranto proceedings brought by the state of Virginia for revocation of the charter of the James town Jockey Club, the demurrer of the defense setting forth that the Jamestown Jockey Club was not authorized in its charter to conduct or permit book-making or gambling and that its charter could only be revoked for violation of rights given, was overruled. A jury trial was allowed over the objections of the state, which then unsuccessfully sought to have a jury summoned from some part of the state other than Norfolk city. The hearing was adjourned today until Monday. A number of witnesses remain to be examined and a decision probably will not be reached before .Tuesday.
