JOCKEY T. RICE RETURNS FROM EUROPE. T. Rico, the American jockey, who has been riding in Germany for R. Haniel. has returned to America and is spending a brief vacation with his parents in Chicago. Rice enjoyed a successful season on the German turf and iias renewed his con tract with Mr. Haniel to ride during the season of 1912. He intends going to Juarez. .Mexico, for the meeting which opens on Thanksgiving day there, and will ride as a free lance. Rice speaks glowing ly of the sport abroad and of the success which nearly all the American riders in Germany experienced. Jockey Guy Garner, another American rider who rode in Europe the past season, is expected to return to America shortly.
