FLYING FEET ran close to the rail and, making a close stretch turn, saved considerable ground, then stood a drive through the final furlong and won drawing clear. KUROPATKIN ran a good race and had no mishaps, but was not good enough to beat the winner. BRAVE WITHERS showed speed, but tired In the stretch drive. MARQUES DE SAN ROMAN, after being care-fullv placed in the early running, moved up steadily and, taking the lead when entering the homestretch, then began to tire when an eighth out and swerved over to the outside, but was quickly straightened out and won in a canter. WIGGINS came steadily and fast in the last furlong and outgamed- ALEKTA for second place. The latter ran a good race and finished gamely. SHOOTING STAR did well with the heavy Impost she carried.
