GOSSIP FROM BLUE GRASS REGION. Lexington, Ky., December 11. Max A. Silvers left here last night for New York with sixteen head of thoroughbred yearlings and broodmares, with which he will sail next Saturday for Lima, Peru, and Valparaiso, Chili. J. C. Milam, unable to get a car, has deferred the shipment of his racing stable to Charleston, S. C, until December 27. Mr. Milam today bought from Colonel R. T. Holloway .the yearling chestnut filly by Star Shoot Blue Danube dam of La Puccllo, for ,000. She had worked a quarter in :23J. J. W. May has returned from Charleston and reports that rapid progress Is being made on the track ami buildings, and that it is going to lie a line place to race. He says that ho does not believe the efforts to prevent the opening of the track will bo successful.
