: RACING Of SUCCESSFUL AMERICAN-BRED HORSES IN ENGLAND h- Over in England in the period from October 2 to November 25 Inclusive, the latter being the date when the Hat racing season of 1911 came to an end at Manchester, American-bred horses were placed in sixty-six races, of which they won twenty-nine. In point of value the. most important of the races won were the Kempton Park Nursery Handicap by Mr. Belmonts line lilly. Toggery, at Kempton Park, Oetolier 7; the Challenge Stakes by Mr. II. P. Whitneys Iron Mask, at Newmarket, Oetolier 12; Exiling Handicap, by Mr. .1. It. Kcenos Runnyniedo, at Newmarket, October 13; Temple Handicap, by Kunuynudo. at Sandown Park, Oetolier 19; New Nursery Plate, by Mr. Keenes Outrani, at Newmarket, October 25; Houghton Stakes, by T. Barings Keinpion. at Newmarket, Oetolier 27; Qiiecnsbury Handicap, by Mr. Whitneys Iron Mask, at Newmarket, Oetolier 27; Birmingham Handicap, by Lord II. Van Tenqiests Pearldivcr, at Birmingham, October .",1. and the Stewards Plate, by Kunnymcde. at Liverpool. November 9. Most valuable of all these was the Kempton Park Nursery Handicap, won by Toggery. This fast lilly is u half sister to our former llyer, Dick Welles, being by Koelc Sand Teas Over. Her success in this cast; was the only one of importance accruing to Mr. Belmonts stable in England this year. Toggery started in six races there this year and, having won four of them, is justly reckoned a highly promising lilly.
