FLARNEY closed a big gap in the last half and was gaining fast at the end. ROSEBURG II. was given a weak ride and swerved into the worst going. ANIMUS ran poorly. The latter ran a good race and held on resolutely to the end. LOYAL MAID finished fast, but was given a bad ride and should have been much closer up. FLYING SQUIRREL showed speed, hut was short and tired in the stretch. MAYNORA quit after setting the pace for nearly a half mile. Scratched 99000Tiny Tim, 104. OTILO ran in closest and game pursuit all the way and was best of the others. WARNER GRISWELL closed a big gap and finished fast. CAMEL showed improvement and finished gamely. IRISH KID was kept in the worst going all the way. DUNC CAMPBELL can do much better with a good rider. Overweights V. Powers, 4 pounds.
