KENTUCKY RACING AFFAIRS MOMENTOUS MATTERS TO BE CONSIDERED AT IMPENDING CONFERENCE. M. J. Winn, John Hachmeister and Representatives of Kentucky Association to Consider Dates for 1912 Anions Other Things. Cincinnati, O., December 20. It is likely that at a conference to be held between John Hachmeister, general manager of the Latonia Jockey Club, and .Matt J. Winn, manager of the Ijonlsville Racing Association, the question of dates for the three Kentucky tracks for the spring meetings will be arranged, or rather dates agreed upon that the Kentucky State Racing Commission will be asked to sanction. .Mr. Hachmeister arrived here from St. l.ouis yesterday and went to Louisville today to meet Colonel Winn, who came up from Juarez to spend the holidays. It is likely that Catesby Wood ford, or some other representative of the Kentucky Association, at Lexington, will be on hand. It is probable that racing in Kentucky In 1012 will commence during the lirst week in April. Another matter that will come up before Messrs. Winn and Hachmeister will be the renewing of the agreement between the Cella interests and the New Louisville Jockey Club, whereby Douglas Park ceased its operations and Churchill Downs became the scene of all the racing In Louisville. There has been much talk lately that the Cellas would refuse to renew the agreement, which would probably precipitate a turf war. According to Mr. Hachmeister this is beyond the range of possibilities; that there is no ill-feeling between the factions, and aside from a few minor changes, the agreement, as signed live years ago, probably will again be in force. The agreement expires March 1. Mr. Hachmeister will return to Cincinnati early next week and the stakes for the Latonia spring meeting will be announced shortly thereafter. Lexington.
