CHANGE OF CONTROL AT HAMILTON. Hamilton. Ont., December 20. Messrs. Harry Mc-Intyre, A. 11. Loudon and Judge Monck have secured control of the Hamilton Jockey Club. For the past year or so there lias been considerable dickering in jockey club stock, which has shown wonderful Increases in value, and some time ago control was secured by Messrs. Mclntyre, Loudon, Henderson, Simpson and Monck, who were known as the syndicate. Lately Gordon Henderson and F. C. Bruce disposed of their holdings to the Loudon-Melntyre-Monck interests, which enabled this trio to assume control without including R. R. Simpson and his holdings. Just what price was paid for the Henderson and Bruco stock is not known, but the present value of the stock per share is said to be around the ,000 mark, and it is likely that close to that figure was paid. This would be a pretty good price for shares which went begging some years ago at even 0 a share. It is the intention of Judge Monck and Messrs. Mclntyre and Loudon to take complete charge of the plant, as indicated in their recent decision to abolish the office of treasurer, which was established last spring at the instigation of Gordon Henderson.
