JAMES R. KEENE MAKES NOMINATIONS. New York, December 29. It Is evident that James R. Keene is not yet done with racing, because he has within ten days made numerous entries of the half dozen young horses he still owns in England. Several of these have never run, having been sent over in company with Ballot a few weeks since. One of them, a colt by Peter Pan Mint Cake, that will be three years old on January 1, is nominated for one of the most representative wcight-for-age races in England, viz., the Champion Stakes, a mile and a quarter, to be run at Newmarket in October. Such well-known horses as Lemberg, Lomond, While Star, Belleisle, Hornets Beauty and Sir Martin are entered for the Champion Stakes.
