REVIEW OF LEXINGTON PROGRAM Lexington Ky April 22 The program book for the spring meeting of the Kentucky Association just issued Is attractive typographically and has on its front cover a picture of The Manager the win ¬ ner of last years Breeders Futurity and at present the favorite here for tho approaching Kentucky Derby The admirers of the McDowell colt think that Racing Secretary W II Shelley has stolen a march on the Louisville Jockey Club by using the picture of The Manager as they firmly believe that tlm Louisville Club will next spring print The Managers picture on the cover of its program book as the winner of the 1912 Derby In accordance with its custom However Secretary Shelleys only rea ¬ son for the choice of the picture was that The Manage was the winner of the most important race given by the Kentucky Association AssociationTho Tho program for the eleven days racing begin ¬ ning on Saturday April 27 is by far the most at ¬ tractive ever offered for a meeting at the Lexington track There are six races each day with besides the stakes purses of 300 and 400 liberally inter ¬ spersed with overnight handicaps to which 500 is added The racing will begin on the first day with the usual inaugural dash at five and onehalf fur ¬ longs for threeyearolds and upward There are four other purses two for twoyearolds at four fur ¬ longs one for threeyearold Dllies at six furlongs and one for threeyearolds and upward at one mile In addition to the Phoenix Hotel Spring Handicap at one and onesixteenth miles for threeyearolds and upward upwardTho Tho handicap closed
