TRAIKIKG GALLOPS AT LOUISVILLE Louisville Ky April 27 The local tracks and especially Churchill Downs were iu good condition this morning considering the heavy downpour of yesterday The only Derby candidate that was worked was George J Longs Free Lance which cantered seven furlongs in 139 Trainer P Coyne who has charge of the Long stable decided at the last moment not to send any of the string to Lex ¬ ington Four of his twoyearolds engaed there are slightly bucked and he concluded he would not give either Free Lance or Nicias a race before the Derby DerbyOther Other workouts were wereCapitan Capitan Bravo Fiveeighths in 115 115Cash Cash on Delivery Fiveeighths in 115 115Fireman Fireman Quarter mile in 29 cantering canteringIsland Island Queen Threequarters in 125 125Jacob Jacob Bunn Threeeighths in 44 44King King Olympian Fiveeighths in 112 112Mobile Mobile Belle Threeeighths in 44 44OSullivan OSullivan Half mile in 55 55Pass Pass On Threeeighths in 44 44Presumption Presumption Threequarters in 129 cantering canteringScbago Scbago Threeeighths in 41 41The The Reach Half mile in 57 cantering canteringWhite White Wool Threequarters in 125 125The The slow condition of the tracks did not prevent trainers from freely working their horses and with the exception of on the turn near the clnb house it had dried out greatly by noon and will be fairly fast tomorrow tomorrowTex Tex Foreman was an arrival today and reports that C H Kncbclkamps threeyearold filly Mother kins is out of the Kentucky Oaks He sold this filly at Charleston on ascertaining she was not of Oaks caliber The only horse this stable now owns is Attentive which is still at Latonia where she wintered He thinks she will be a good racer this year but she may not start before the Latonia meet ¬ ing ingO O A Bianchi received a letter today from Cali ¬ fornia telling him of two fine foals he now has there by Jim Gaffney a horse he now has here in the stud One of the youngsters is out of Resigna ¬ tion II and the other out of Viola B The letters inform Mr Bianchi that the Resignation II colt nov stands twelve hands high and the Viola B colt eleven and a half hands For sucklings this is considered remarkable as there have been cases of horses that Liter raced in stake winning form that as yearlings did not stand as high as the Resigna ¬ tion II colt ds as a suckling
