CONEY ISLAND DIRECTORS ELECTED. New York. January 14. — At the annual meeting of th. stockholders of the Coney Island Joekev Club yesterday the following directors wan elected-Schuyler L. Parsons. W. K. Vanderbilt, Jr.. Harold F. Vanderbilt, James W. Wa-dsworth. George Pea-body Wetniore. F. K. Sturgis, Johu M. Powers. V, E. Schanmberg. F. T. Clarke. F. J. Griswold, K. R. Hitchcock. Thomas Hitchcock and Herbert C. Pell While the members, because of the recent decision in tho Paul Shane case, are hopeful over the pros-| ects for racing this season, still no action of a definite character will be made until tlie Appellate division of the Circuit court bands down its decision. After Justice Scudder had ordered Shaue re-has, d the case was carried to a higher court. The decision is expected any day. If the rare tracks decide to reopen, the meetings will be of short duration, not more than three or four days each week.
