KEENE STUD NOT TO BE DISPERSED. New York. January :;0. — Fpon the best of authority it is ascertained that the breeding establishment owned by the late James R. Keene- at the time of his death is to be continued. In the best Interests of Mr. Keenes widow her advisers have told her that it Would be much better to maintain the breeding establishment and to continue to sell each season the annual production of yearlings. Miss Flizabetll Daingerliehl. now that her father is dead, will re main in sole charge of the establishment, as she practically has been for a long time, or since the serious Illness of her father rendered him unable to give the place his supervision. Undoubtedly Poxhall Keene will have much to CO with naming the best place— Kngland or this country -in which to dispose of the yearlings. Mr. Keene is well aware of the great popularity in England of horses bred by his late father, ami he is cogui-zanl of the fact that they will continue to realize good prices at Newmarket. It is said, however, that several syndicates are being formed in this country for the purpose of purchasing the entire lot uf the Keene estate vearlings at a lump sum. the horses to be utilized for racing on this side of the water. The names of B. R. Bradley. John W. Schorr, Frank F. Brown ami Frank Jay C..11I1I have been mentioned as possible purchasers. If Mr. Could bought them it would be for racing abroad. The yearlings consist of fourteen colts and twenty two fillies. Among the colls are a half brother to Sv-sonby. half brother to Celt, half brother to Dollv Spanker, and colts out of Fairv Slipper, Running Stream. Noonday. Deity, Half Crown, etc. Among tin- fillies are daughters of Maskette, Pope Joan. Pink Domino ami Cap ami Bells. There ai.- now at the Kingston stud, where tlio Keene estate hmses are, eight stallions and fortv-Hve broodmares, besides the yearlings. The broodmares are due 10 foal at any time now.
