COLLOQUY AND FOAL STOLEN STOLENLouisville Louisville Ky April 21 News has reached here through a visitor at Churchill Downs who was re ¬ cently at William Gersts farm near Nashville Tenn that his noted raeo mare Colloquy and her yearling colt by Ivan the Terrible had been stolen It lias boon impossible to trace either of them The mare is heavily in foal to Handspring The only clue is a note left on the pasture gate reading Watch out for Colloquys colt and her foal Several mixed horse sales have been conducted recently in Nashville and the presumption is that Colloquy and her colt have been spirited away in a car containing some of tlifse horses Colloquy was a speedy racer and won many races At one time she held several track records and always has been regarded as the most valuable mare Mr Gerst owns The colt that was stolen with her is her first foal
