MAE TAFT was hard ridden for the entire race and, having moved into the lead in tho tirst eighth, held UNCLE HART safe all the way. UNCLE HART raced forwardly throughout and finished gamely. GLIDE POST closed a gap and outstayed RUBICON II. in the last few strides. The latter ran well to the htretch and tired near the end. COLLB showed speed for the first half mile. BOLALA was hard ridden and. after running in nearest pursuit, moved up gamely in the stretch and disposed of SAN VEGA in the last sixteenth. SAN VEGA showed high speed and set the pace most of the way. hut tired near the end. JOHN GUNI was well up all the way. HARRY L. began slowly and jshowed high speed for a half mile. BAC moved up fast on the stretch turn, hut "oing wide cost him much ground. KORFHAGE ran well, but also lost ground by being forced to come wide Into the stretch. DR. SAMUEL tireil in the stretch drive after having raced into a brief lend. LOST FORTUNE quit after showing the most speed for the first half. CUARMEUSL and CANDY BOX suffered from crowding. JIMMIE GILL showed the most early speed and set the pace to the stretch lut tired when challenged by the winner. LUTHER suffered from much Interference and was almost thrown on the tirst turn, then closed a big gap into a game third. L. H. ADAIR was in a continuous jam and also closed a big gap in the last quarter. BARNARD quit after racing prominently to the last eighth. Scratched Greenhorn, 100.
