KEWESSA showed a high turn of speed in pacemaking for three-quarters, then tired. AWARE began slowly and finished fast. MARGARET MEISE had no mishaps. V ALKY RIB raced well up with the- leaders throughout. FLITAWAY and FUZZY WUZZY tired after showing early speed. BEX QUINCE had no chance at the start. BLACK CHIEF set a fast pace, but tired in the stretch drive. FRED LEVY ran a good race and held on well in the final drive. ARRAN was in tight quarters most of the way and ran an excellent race. COLONEL ASHMEADE was poorly ridden and probably best but his rider used him up in racing with BRYNARY under a pull when he could have gone on and opi ned up a gap. DANGEROUS MARCH came with a rush at the end. SEPULVEDA was pinched off at the start and could not improve his position until in the last quarter.
