CHRISTMAS EVE ran forwardly from the start and came fast in the last quarter. BASTANTE made up ground and finished gamely. MISS KRUTER ran fairly well. BURLINGTON BESS showed ear.y speed. CAMEL closed a gap and came fast in the stretch. J. B. ROBINSON ran well for a half and tired. SYRINGA ran in closest pursuit to the stretch and quit. PAY STREAK bled. BILLY HOLDER had the best of the start and set the pace to the homestretch, but tired in the last eighth. LODONA closed a big gap into a good third. BILLIE BAKER also ran a good race from a poor send-off. STOUT HEART quit after running iu nearest pursuit to the stretch. OVER THE SANDS and CORDIE F. made up ground and finished fast. The latter had a clear course all the way and. setting the pace from the start, had no mishaps. JUST RED suffered much fr om interference from MARSHON and PRINCESS THORPE, but tired in the stretch.
